(Leverett, MA) A sixth-grade student at the Leverett Elementary has died while on vacation in Puerto Rico. 12-year-old Zedekiahu “Justice” Mekura Miller was swimming with a friend at resort when he was pulled under the waves at an area that had a strong current. According to a Puerto Rican news outlet, 11 people have drowned in the past four months at the same beach. Miller’s family is planning a memorial ceremony at the Peace Pagoda.
