(undated) – The state’s highest court is considering a gun possession case involving a former area police chief. Former Pelham Police Chief Edward Fleury is challenging whether the state should be able to seize and destroy the 12 guns that he was found guilty of storing improperly in 2017. Fleury was found guilty of 12 counts of improper storage and acquitted on 10 others. The guns were seized after a weapons incident in 2016, for which Fleury was also acquitted.
