(Hatfield, MA) — Smith Academy’s field hockey field has been renamed in honor of a local sports legend. Former Olympic Field Hockey Bronze medalist Judy Strong yesterday had the field named after her. Strong is the current field hockey coach at Smith. She is a former standout player at UMass and coached at the collegiate level before returning to Smith to coach.
