NORTHFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Northfield Planning Board denied BlueWave Solar a special permit for their proposed 2.29 megawatt agrivoltaic solar project on Pine Meadow Road. BlueWave is appealing the decision claiming it went beyond the board’s purview and was arbitrary in nature, while the Planning Board cites flooding hazards, decreased property values as reasons for their denial. The issue will be taken up in Land Court.
