DEERFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — As a result of the rejected vote to fund a fully staffed Fire Department in Hatfield at last year’s Annual Town Meeting, South County EMS will be charging the Town of Hatfield $350 for every ambulance request.
Without a full staff, the Fire Department has been heavily relying on South County EMS on nights and weekends. Between July 1st and December 31st in 2025, South County responded to 97 calls in Hatfield, over 10% of their total volume.
