U:PDATE: Southampton Voters Reject Budget-Balancing Override

(Southampton, MA) — Budget cuts are likely headed to the town of Southampton. Voters Tuesday soundly rejected a Proposition 2 ½ override to fund a series of school and municipal budget items. They also said no to a debt exclusion to fund a new dump truck. Another debt exclusion to fund a new bike and pedestrian path passed by a narrow margin.
