GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Greenfield City Council will be holding a Special City Council meeting on November 5th at 5:45 p.m. to have a first reading of a request to repurpose $197,000 for the design and emergency repairs of the Electric Light and Power Dam.
According to a letter from Director of Public Works, Marlo Warner, divers found a 10 feet by 6 feet void in the bottom center of the dam that requires emergency repairs before winter comes.
Completing the first reading on November 5th will allow the council to vote on the appropriation at the regularly scheduled full council meeting later this month.
