ROWE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The town of Rowe is holding a Special Town Meeting on Monday, January 27th in the elementary school to vote on transferring $50,000 for the purchase of a new vehicle for the Highway Department, replacing an aging 2011 truck. The town is also seeking approval to appropriate $63,000 for the purchase of a new police cruiser.
There are four other articles in the Special Town Meeting warrant including two on the Opioid Stabilization Fund that has changed with recent state guidelines; one article requests the transfer of the funds into the Board of Health account and another to close the Opioid Stabilization Fund.
