Those were the results of the most recent round of MCAS testing, which state education officials say featured an across the board drop in student scores. State Education Commissioner Jeff Riley says the spring 2021 MCAS results mirror national trends, but still underscores the need for Massachusetts educators to redouble their efforts to address the mental health and academic needs of the commonwealth’s students.
