State Police Warn Of Phone Scam Targeting WMass Residents

(undated) — State Police are warning Western Mass. residents to be aware of a potential phone scam. The scam callers claim to be from the Cheshire State Police barracks and are using a number which appears to be connected to the state police. The scammers claim the people being called are victims of identity theft. Troopers say the calls are not legitimate, and if you receive one, do not give out any information of any kind.
