(Northfield, MA) — State education officials say they want to hear more about a plan to move sixth graders from Pioneer Regional District elementary schools to the high-middle school. The Pioneer School Committee favors the move, which district Superintendent Jonathan Scagel has advocated delaying for a year. And now, the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education wants to learn more about the proposal. That information is due to the state by March 12th.
