(Greenfield, MA) – The driver of the Franklin Regional Transit Authority bus who allegedly attacked a black passenger is being terminated from that agency. FRTA General Manager Molly Morin said in a statement that driver Steven Connell of Gill is in the process of being fired for Thursday’s incident, where he crashed a bus in an attempt to apprehend the man and his two sons, one of whom Connell claimed had a gun. Morin also said that the FRTA is partnering with all local authorities in the matter, but declined to comment further.
