FRANKLIN COUNTY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Last night’s severe winds have impacted power lines, internet service and roads. South Prospect Street in Millers Falls is closed from Mormon Hollow Road to Grout Circle due to downed power lines, according to the Turners Falls Fire Department. Downed power lines have also been reported on Boyle Road in Gill and Shutesbury Road in Leverett is temporarily down to one lane.
Buses have been delayed in the Mohawk Trail Regional School District as downed trees and power lines have impacted roads. The schools within the district have been experiencing “intermittent and sporadic” power outages according to Bill Lataille, Assistant Superintendent of the Mohawk Trail Regional School District. Colrain Central School has reported internet outages, as well.
