(Greenfield, MA) A garage that caught fire on South Shelburne Road is probably a complete loss said Greenfield Fire Captain Alexander Cooley. The call for the fire came in just after 3am, and the two engines that responded found the garage fully engulfed and the fire spreading to other surrounding structures. With assistance from Turners Falls, South Deerfield, Deerfield, Bernardston, and Shelburne Falls the fire was contained to the original structures and did not spread. The state fire marshal is currently investigating the cause, but the fire is not considered suspicious at this time.
