(Sunderland, MA) After a Maremma dog, owned by a Sunderland resident, bit an 81 year old neighbor in October of last year, the Sunderland Selectboard voted in December to label the dog as dangerous and not allow it outside overnight, along with requiring the dog to be neutered.
On Monday, the Selectboard acknowledged the ruling to not allow the animal to use the bathroom overnight to not be reasonable and voted to change the dog’s label from dangerous to a nuisance and allow two 15 min breaks between 10 pm and 6 am to go outside.
