(Washington) The Supreme Court has overturned the vaccine mandate that the Biden administration imposed on large businesses with 100 employees or more. On Thursday, the Conservative majority voted to stop the Biden administration from enforcing the mandate on large businesses, but allowed a vaccine mandate that effects almost 100% of healthcare workers nation wide. The majority concluded, in an unsigned opinion, that the administration overstepped their authority by imposing the vaccine mandate on businesses.

“OSHA has never before required such a mandate. Nor has Congress,” said the conservative majority in their opinion.

In the dissent, the liberal minority wrote “the Court displaces the judgments of the Government officials given the responsibility to respond to workplace health emergencies.”

More than 80 million people would have been effected by this vaccine mandate on private business.
