GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Critically low food levels at the Franklin Area Survival Center in Turners Falls have prompted a collaboration with the Western Mass Media Group on a holiday food drive.

Perishable and non-perishable food items are needed in time for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Both the Survival Center and the Western Mass Media Group (the parent company of Franklin County Now) are accepting donations right now.

Perishable foods, such as turkeys, butter, milk, eggs, potatoes, breads and pies can be brought to the Survival Center at 96 4th Street in Turners Falls. The Center is open 10-5 Monday through Saturday.

Non-perishable items can be brought to the Survival Center or to the Western Mass Radio Group studios at 81 Woodard Road in Greenfield any weekday from 8-5.

More information on this critical food drive can be obtained by calling the Survival Center at 413-863-9549, or visiting https://www.franklinareasurvivalcenter.org/p/17/Donations.
