(Greenfield, MA) Amtrak’s Vermonter train service will return to the full service schedule starting July 19, due to COVID-19 travel restrictions lifting in Massachusetts. Since COVID-19 travel restrictions were put in place, only the Valley Flyer and the Hartford Line have gone through the Pioneer Valley. Stops for the Vermonter rail line will include Springfield, Holyoke, Northampton, and Greenfield. The Boston – Chicago line has been reduced to a three day a week schedule. The Boston – Chicago rail line is the only east to west line running in the Pioneer Valley.
