(Northampton, MA) This year the three county fair, which encompasses Hampshire, Hamden, and Franklin Counties, will be agricultural only. Fairgoers will have to wait until 2021 for the traditional Three County Fair experience.
” “We did our due diligence and prepared to operate with new measures in place for fairgoer safety and held out as long as we could, but the large venue restrictions make the originally scheduled fair improbable,” said James Przypek, General Manager of the Three County Fair.
According to a recent press release, the fair is adapting to COVID-19 restrictions by allowing exhibitors and competitors only into the facility. Competitors are allowed only two livestock shows a day and exhibitors must drop off their entries in advance.
“Hitting the reset button on this year’s fair and being able to conduct a handful of competitions helps us fulfill our mission to promote agriculture in the three Western Mass counties that we represent,” said Przypek.
Entries and information about this year’s fair can be located at www.3countyfair.com. The Three County Fair in Northampton is the oldest continuously running agricultural fair in the United States.
