Truck Strikes Toyota From Behind On 91, Sends It Rolling Over Embankment

(Hatfield, MA) A rollover crash on I-91N in Hatfield has sent a 54 year old woman to the hospital with serious injuries. Early Sunday evening a Dodge Ram pickup truck struck a Toyota sedan from behind when the truck was traveling too close to the Toyota. The impact caused the operator of the Toyota, a 54 year old Leverett woman, to lose control and go off to the right side of the road. The Toyota then rolled over and down an embankment where it hit some small trees and some brush. According to information provided by the Massachusetts State Police, proper use of a seatbelt prevented the driver of the Toyota from being completely ejected from the vehicle. The driver of the Dodge Ram pickup truck was not injured and the truck sustained minor damage to the front bumper. The Toyota sustained substantial damage.
