GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A water main break occurred Tuesday on Federal Street in Greenfield, the road remained open while crews worked on repairs although a new traffic pattern was established with traffic cones. Wednesday, Thursday, and potentially Friday DPW crews will continue work on patch the road with concrete and asphalt. The City of Greenfield announced twelve parking stalls will be closed during the work to accommodate the alternate traffic pattern. The city is directed those looking for parking in the Federal Street area to consider utilizing parking on School and Ames streets, as well as the Ames Street Parking Lot.
