Tully Mountain Fire Contained; Hiking Trails Still Closed

The Orange Fire Department is reporting that good progress was made yesterday fighting a fire on Tully Mountain. The National Guard made 32 water drops on the blaze which is burning deep into the ground. Accessibility has been a problem although officials are calling the fire contained. Hiking on Tully Mountain will remain off limits today.

Greenfield Fire Department remembers 9/11 24 years later: “We will never forget”

On this 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on America, the Greenfield Fire Department hosted a ceremony of remembrance at the fire station at 41 Main Street.

Fire Chief Robert Strahan addressed a small gathering of residents and GFD members. Strahan said September 11 this year was in some ways was very reminiscent of September 11, 2001.
