ATHOL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Two members of the Athol Police Department were honored during a recent Selectboard meeting for their lifesaving efforts for an individual experiencing a mental health crisis.
Officer Greg Fortes and Sergeant Craig Deveneau were recognized for their efforts in preventing self-harm on March 6th when reports came in of an individual in distress on the Exchange Street Bridge.
