(Amherst, MA) — Concern is being expressed on the UMass campus after the number of student COVID cases began to skyrocket. Around 400 students have reported contracting the virus in just over a week. University officials say off-campus activities may be largely to blame for the uptick. More than 97 percent of students are either fully vaccinated or partially vaccinated against the virus.
