(Amherst, MA) — UMass officials are being called out for their handling of a series of racist emails sent to a number of campus groups. The university’s chapter of the NAACP held a protest outside the Student Union yesterday where it presented a list of demands, including a formal apology from the administration for its “failure to respond” to the incident. The university has acknowledged receipt of the demands, and will work to address them moving forward.
