AMHERST, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — UMass engineering professor, Chang Liu, has received a $1.3 million two-year research grant to take her at-home HIV test and make it commercially available. The testing technology detects low concentrations of the p24 protein, which is an early indicator of an HIV infection.
