(Amherst, MA) On Friday UMass Hillel held a peaceful walk calling for the release of hostages held by Hamas and at the end a Jewish student was assaulted. Following the incident, one UMass student was arrested and later released on bail. Additionally, they are facing academic ramifications. The University made a statement condemning these actions and the importance of protecting the right to protest.
