(Amherst, MA) UMass Amherst will be hosting oral arguments for the Massachusetts Appeals Court on Monday, November 13th. The Appeals Court decides on over 1,000 cases each year with three justices hearing oral arguments and presiding as a panel and the sessions are open to the public in an effort to broaden awareness and understanding of the court system. At this sitting, Associate Justices William J. Meade, Sabita Singh and Paul Hart Smyth will be hearing arguments on three criminal and three civil cases.
