(Combined Sources) Union representatives of employees at UMASS took an opportunity to criticize administration at a meeting held online yesterday. Representatives mentioned the effects of recent layoffs, furloughs and negotiations and how they were unnecessary when reserves could cover funding losses. Administration disputed that reserves could cover 10% off the budget which amounts to $335 million that the university system has lost. UMASS President Marty Meehan took the opportunity to explain how officials are looking at ways to reopen campuses for the spring semester.
