GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) –An arrest has been made in the ongoing investigation of a suspicious death in Greenfield. The Albany, NY County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Massachusetts man wanted on a murder charge by the Greenfield Police Department.
At approximately 12:22 Tuesday morning, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Massachusetts State and Greenfield Police and asked to check the area of the Albany International Airport for an individual wanted for murder stemming from an ongoing death investigation in Greenfield.
Sheriff’s Deputies located the murder suspect’s unoccupied vehicle in a parking garage. After reviewing surveillance cameras, Sheriff’s Deputies located the murder suspect, identified as 42-year-old Taaniel Herberger-Brown inside the Albany International Airport on the non-secure side.
Herberger-Brown was charged as a Fugitive from Justice and arraigned in the Town of Colonie Criminal Court. He was remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility pending further extradition proceedings in Albany County Court.
