(Greenfield, MA) On Monday at 4 pm, a blue SUV veered off the road and hit a utility pole on Country Club Road just before Silver Street. According to Lieutenant Daniel McCarthy, “[t]he bottom of the pole completely separated from the upper portion.” The driver was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center with minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation by the Greenfield Police Department and no citations have been issued yet. The road was cleared and reopened at 10 pm last night.
