(Northampton, MA) Franklin County Now has obtained a copy of a video that has since been taken off of both Facebook and YouTube, depicting an altercation between an unidentified man and a Northampton Police Officer. In the video the man can be seen screaming at the officer about what he regarded as harassment of a black trans woman. The altercation started when the officer received a report of a man in a red shirt pan handling on the streets. Apparently the officer then turned to the trans woman, who was also wearing a red shirt. The unidentified man in the video then began to scream at the officer.
“Did you get a call about that black lady?” The man can be heard screaming. “F you, I am not in your space,” the man screams.
“You’re a fing lair,” the man can be heard screaming. The officer asks the man to back up, but the man continues to scream.
“I walked away,” the officer can be heard responding.
“You fing lie,” the man screams at the officer. “I heard the call btch.”
The officer can be seen walking away from the situation.
“You’re a lair. You don’t do your fing job,” the man screams. “You’re harassing a black woman.”
Eventually three more officers arrive at the scene.
“What are you fing going to do,” the man screams. “We don’t need your help.”
The officers appear to be trying to communicate with the individual who is screaming. The officers ask the man to try to stop yelling. When the officers walk away, the screaming continues.
“He came up and fing lied. Walk away you fing pssy,” the man screams. “Why are you so scared.”
The man then turns to a woman who may have made the call.
“Bye Karen. Your boyfriends are leaving. They can’t save you,” the man screams. “Go fck a dck for them. Lets lie down so they can shoot us on the ground. I’m either jumping off the boat or I’m killing them for fing with me.”
At one point the screaming male can be heard threatening to follow officers so they don’t “harass anyone else.” The screaming continues for about ten minutes. Officers can be seen on scene trying to communicate with the individual, but eventually drive away. The male individual eventually walks off and the video ends. A call to Northampton Police Department for comment is pending.
