(Amherst, MA) As students remain self-sequestered at UMASS Amherst, the campus’s Resident Assistant and Peer Mentor Union announced that two-thirds of the residential staff voted no confidence in Chancellor Kumble Subbasway’s handling of the COVID outbreak. Residential staff are expressing frustration at the lack of accountability for student organizations that are not following COVID-19 guidelines. According to UMASS, active COVID-19 cases went down in the last week from 600 to about 400.
