(Franklin County, MA) The warming shelters list is being updated to include:
Greenfield Public Library will be open Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The John Zon Community Center will be open Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shelter assistance can be reached at ServiceNet by calling 413-772-6100 ext. 2

Some resources such as blankets and hand warmers can be found at The North Quabbin Recovery Center at 416 Main Street in Athol as well as the Wildflower Alliance at 20 Chapman Street in Greenfield, open Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

With freezing weather and even colder winds coming to the area Friday and Saturday, warming centers are opening up so people may come in out of the cold.
The Greenfield Public Library will be open Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Salvation Army Community Center on Chapman Street will be open Friday 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for people to come in out of the cold. Those seeking shelter overnight may contact ServiceNet at 413-587-7555.
In Athol, several locations are open to the public during the day such as the Athol Public Library and the YMCA of Athol. See the attached warm flyer for complete location listing from the Town of Athol.
