WARWICK, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Warwick Community School has acquired a new “Little Blue Bus” to help with the morning and afternoon busing.

In an effort to cut transportation costs, the school contracted one Kuzmeskus bus to travel across Warwick for students, which meant the bus would have to take two to three trips every morning and afternoon. When the town was part of the Pioneer Regional School District, two buses had been contracted for the same area.

This year, the school purchased an electric Kia SUV that will seat six students and shorten wait times for the bus. The electric vehicle will require less maintenance than a traditional engine and can get up to 300 miles on a full charge. Additionally, the bus will be used for school trips and can be charged while not in use at the school.
