Weeks Later Hot Spots On Joshua Hill Still Burning

(Leverett, MA) The fire on Joshua Hill in Leverett is still burning several weeks after fire crews from around the state worked to contain the perimeter to 55 acres. Crews from Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation have been working throughout this week and will continue working throughout next week to extinguish the hot spots and maintain the perimeter. Leverett Fire Department is asking people to please continue to avoid the area.
