WENDELL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Wendell citizens’ group, No Assault & Batteries, has launched a fundraiser to support the town’s appeal of the state attorney general’s rejection of the battery energy storage bylaw.
The bylaw was accepted nearly unanimously in a May 2024 Special Town Meeting and was subsequently rejected by the Attorney General’s Office in November who said it needed to be a zoning bylaw rather than a general bylaw.
The Wendell Selectboard voted in December to appeal the decision and the group’s fundraiser will support the town’s legal aid.
