GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A request for blood splatter testing on the shotgun used by Lewis Starkey of Wendell in the 2017 murder case has been denied Tuesday by a Franklin County Superior Court judge John Agostini.
Starkey was convicted of killing his partner, Amanda Glover after and attempted murder of Glover’s son Devin after getting into an altercation with Glover.
Starkey’s lawyer argued that blood splatter testing could support the story that Starkey was further from Glover during the incident.
Earlier this year Starkey was granted a motion for $5,000 in state funding for a firearm and crime scene deconstructionist.
