WENDELL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The votes were split at the Wendell Special Election Monday. 26.93% of voters, or 213 of the 791 registered voters turned out for the Special Election on August 4th.
Residents voted against allowing the town to assess an additional $133,999 for the operating budget 118 to 94 and they also voted down assessing an additional $40,250 to fund the General Stabilization Fund 95 to 117.
The final two questions, requesting to exempt the town from the Proposition 2 1/2 provisions to pay for the bond to fund the purchase of a new Fire Department Tanker Truck and to fund the Swift River windows and doors project were both approved by voters.
