(Combined Sources) Farms in western Massachusetts will be sharing $5.5 million in state grants that were awarded yesterday from the $36 million Food Security Infrastructure Grant Program. These farms include the Mycoterra Farm in South Deerfield, which will use grant money to purchase refrigeration, storage and transportation equipment. Other farms receiving grant money were MaplelineFarm in Hadley, the Bree-Z-Knoll Farm in Leyden and Hager’s Farm Market and Apex Orchards in Shelburne.
