Whately Police Announce Addition Of New Comfort Dog

(Whately, MA) The Whately Police Department has a new officer. Office Shamus, a four month old Standard Poodle, was donated by an organization called Berkshire Comfort Dogs. Officer Shamus will start his 26 weeks of comfort dog training, also donated by Berkshire Comfort Dogs, and will eventually be able to assist community members and first responders in stressful and traumatic situations.
