(Whately, MA) – Whately will hold its annual town meeting June 23. The Whately Selectboard Wednesday night voted to set the date for the meeting, but the location is still to be determined. Historically, the meeting has been held at Whately Elementary School, and last year was conducted at the newly-renovated former town hall. The question, however, is whether either location would provide adequate space for proper social distancing. Selectboard member Fred Orloski suggested that the town consider the Quonquont Farm meeting hall as an alternate location. The board is expected to reconsider the issue at its next meeting on May 13. Whately will hold its annual town election June 9th.
