WHATELY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Whately’s Selectboard is creating a new Energy Storage Systems Study Committee to examine ways to best regulate the potential development of large-scale battery storage facilities.
The committee will be comprised of representatives from a number of town boards as well as a resident who does not currently serve on the Selectboard, Planning Board, Conservation Commission, Agricultural Commission, Energy Committee, or Board of Health.
Interested members of the community should send a letter of interest to the Selectboard c/o adminassist@whately.org, no later than August 31.
