The World Health Organization is working to dispel some misconceptions about COVID 19.
Fact Check: Drinking methanol, ethanol, or bleach does not prevent or cure COVID 19. While methanol, ethanol, or bleach are used as cleaners and will kill viruses on surfaces, these substances are poison if ingested and will cause death.
Fact Check: Exposing yourself to higher temperatures does not prevent COVID 19. Countries with warmer climates have reported confirmed cases of coronavirus. To prevent contagion, follow CDC guidelines of social distancing, wash hands, and avoid touching your face.
Fact Check: You can recover from COVID 19. Contracting the virus does not mean you have it for life. Most people who contract COVID 19 can recover and eliminate the virus from their bodies.
