Data from the state Department of Public Health shows COVID vaccination numbers below 60 percent in Hampden County, which is the lowest in the state. The highest rate in the western region is Berkshire County, where 68 percent of people have been vaccinated, followed by 67 percent in Franklin County and 63 percent in Hampshire County.
