(undated) — Western Mass lawmakers are adding their support to a federal effort to expand voting rights. Several members of the Western Mass Beacon Hill Delegation are among 74 legislators supporting the “For the People Act,” a federal bill intended to strengthen voting rights protections at a time where some states are instituting measures some argue are making it more difficult for people of certain demographics to cast ballots. The bill has already passed the House and is awaiting a vote in the U.S. Senate.
