(Leverett, MA) Leverett Police Chief Scott Minckler said that there is no connection between the disappearance of Richard Drury of Leverett and Geoffrey Arthur of Sunderland, MA. Recent searches of Drury’s backyard on March 24 turned up no evidence and searches behind or around Drury’s house will be called off until or unless credible information is obtained that aids law enforcement in pinning down a certain area for the search said Minckler.
“This was a tough decision to make, but searchers felt they have exhausted the area around and behind Mr. Drury’s home. The investigation is still on going even though the active searches have stopped. Leverett Police and the State Police
continue to work together on this investigation,” said Minckler.
Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Arthur or Drury is asked to contact local law enforcement. Both investigations are ongoing.
