BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — According to the Massachusetts State House News Service, $521 million more than the state’s benchmark has been collected in taxes since the fiscal year began July 1st, October alone was $389 million over the target. These numbers come just days after the November 3rd election where voters rejected Question 5, which would have rewritten the tax cap law for more frequent refunds.
