(Charlemont, MA) Parents of students at the Hawlemont School and residents of Charlemont and Hawley are calling for members of the Hawlemont School District to quit. At the district’s virtual meeting on Monday, members of the public described committee mismanagement and voiced concern that the district his heading in the wrong direction. The Hawlemont School District recently found out they would be losing Heath students next year and have not been able to solidify their alignment with any regional school district. Two months ago, faculty and staff members of the Hawlemont School described their lack of confidence in the school committee.
