(Boston, MA) There has been double the number of driving license issued from July to October this year over last year and almost three times as many driving permits. This increase is a result of the Work and Family Mobility Act that came into effect on July 1st, making thousands of people living in Massachusetts eligible to apply for a driving license as it is no longer required to provide proof of lawful presence. 57,058 driving licenses were issued from July 1st to October 28th of this year.
